Oh dear. Shall we then let the race of time lords die out? I'm not repopulating the universe with time lords until one of us reincarnates as a woman.

Can you pre-incarnate?

It was more a general statement, not a specific question to you.

Now, what would pre-incarnation mean? Reverting to a previous one, re-incarnate too early or something different?

Surely, it's incarnating before your current incarnation. A paradox where for a period of time you exist twice since your next incarnation actually happens chronologically before your current one.

Sort of a reversal of the normal causality.

This could result in a theoretical infinite number of incarnations since it may actually not count as one of your normal incarnations...

That's what I would have guesses. It would seem illogical that you could go back past the first incarnation, but the Doctor has proven at least five (or was it eight) of him can exist simultaneously.

I say pre-incarnation all the way. Maybe you're limited to a certain number that way too. -12 or so.

5 initially, but I believe there was 8 once as well. I think both instances were neutralised so as not to affect the space-time continuum though.

Perhaps, by pre-incarnating, one could replenish your used incarnations?

Another viable option. However, if you can go back into old incarnations, then how do you account for them maybe being dead? If only the Doctor could go back to his first one...

Not necessarily going into old incarnations, but incarnating before this incarnation - creating a paradox with a different string of incarnations that's inextricably linked to your own life.
