Really should update more often...
Ah well, where do I start? with the heart-stopping ritual and the rest of the weekend or the mundane stuff?
Well leave the best til last I suppose...
The parents have bought me an iPod for my birthday - so I'll have an mp3 player again!

highstorm, I was trying to get a hold of Matt. Unsuccessfully...
The Uni was screwing Sci-Fi around so nothing happened today. They said they didn;t have a copy of the booking stuff so they couldn't open the room for us. So we have to bug the Conference Centre about it to get a copy sent to reception. Didn't help that we couldn't just present our copy either...
Been working away both with coursework and paid work - lots of coding, very little gain... :( But I'm learning stuff and I got my courseworks in before most folk.
Getting my copy of Serenity RPG signed by Mal, Kaylee, River and Simon. YAY!!! :D
My own sites been put on standby while I sort out other stuff... but I will get around to finishing the new design...
And the weekend...
Friday night, attended a wedding - then moped around for a while IC while doing some thinking. Listened to Tapper's concert (fun! - well OOC anyway...).
Saturday - spent the morning defending the grounds and guarding the gates/grates. Spent some of the afternoon helping prepare a ritual. Then stood in temporarily for one of the contributors then ended up replacing him when he went off on some Linear somewhere... Then spent the rest of the afternoon and the evening practising for the ritual then performing it. We started screwing up less than 30sec in, kept going strong, got through the ritual after killing off Void and Good temporarily, ended up pulling it off and scored 8/10 even though we killed off the ritual marker for a minute. When the fireworks went off at the end, I know a good few of us had heart-attacks - if we hadn;t before... Mishearingsg_damien's "wash away all the ailments from his body" for "wash away all the elements from his body" had me panicking as well. Not to mention having to swap crib sheets halfway through. But we pulled it off. lady_ellinor pushed us all into knowing our parts, war_lemmings pulled off a great Ritual and thanks to Adrian for coming in fairly late on... It was fairly freaky finding out that should anything go wrong, any one of the contributors could take control of the ritual and dump the power... all 4 of us were Ritualists of some degree of power or another.
Sunday was mostly spent recovering from the drinking of Saturday night. Too damn much alcohol... I think I may have gone overboard on coming down from the heart-stopper of a ritual... Had one monster that spent all the time from first hitting me to going down doing nothing but attacking my legs. Even when other people were hitting me and I was covered with a shield...
Oh and also got appointed Deputy Magical Leader of the Pirata Venator.
And I bought a yard of Jaffa Cakes on the way back to Edinburgh. Bus was fun.... :)
Did I miss anything apart from the obvious stuff that I obviously missed and thats everyone's going to tell me about?
